bedrest & hydromorphone: movies, books, tv, games, writing

pneumonia
Pneumonia + Pleurisy = Bedrest

I am allowed to do….nothing.
me, to doctor: hey hey what can i do?
doctor, to me: nothing. you can do nothing. breathe. just breathe. just rest. do nothing.  no flying, no stress. don’t lift anything. zero exercise, miss denis. nothing.  just rest and take your medicine or we’ll end up having to drain the fluid from your lung, and you don’t want that.

(he’s right, i don’t)
Bedrest x 10 days = a lot of movies, books, tv shows, games, Playstation3 & working on pieces of my book.

I renewed netflix, have a slanket (thx michael!) and i’m terrible at bedrest, even with a regular influx of hydromorphone into my bloodstream.  i  rise just to pace, or “do the dishes” even when there are none.

For personal posterity (isn’t that the definition of all blogs, essentially?) I’ve decided to publish an ongoing log of movies, books, tv shows getting me through bedrest. (Many thanks to Michael, mom, dad, Anu, James, Mommy Kartzman, JP, Bradly Cori &  other friends -n- family members who have recommended movies, tv, games and whatnot)
