I found out this morning, but it happened on Sunday. She was my stepmom’s mom, and a 4th generation washingtonian.

MARJORIE MANDLE WISE

On May 21, 2007, MARJORIE MANDLE WISE of Chevy Chase, MD, beloved wife of the late David Wise, Jr. for 36 years, and mother of Babette Wise Denis (Howard), David Wise, III and Barry Mandle Wise (Lori). She is also survived by four grandchildren, Oliver Lloyd Wise, Andrew Cole Pergam, Michael Alan Pergam and Corey Leigh Denis.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2007, 10:30 a.m. at the Washington Hebrew Congregation, 3935 Macomb St., NW, Washington, DC 20016. Interment following the service at Memorial Park, 1380 Alabama Ave., SE, Washington, DC.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends Thursday, May 24 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., as well as Saturday, May 26, from 7 to 10 p.m. at 4550 North Park Ave., #1005, Chevy Chase, MD.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Marjorie’s name to the Metropolitan Washington Ear, 35 University Blvd., East, Silver Spring, MD 20901 or to the Nursing Education Fund, c/o Development Office, Sibley Memorial Hospital, 5255 Loughboro Rd., NW, Washington, DC 20016.
